Keeping You From Falling Through The Cracks

Mediator
As a mediator, we're a neutral facilitator that helps individuals or groups resolve disputes through open dialogue and negotiation. We won't make decisions for you, rather we'll guide discussions, clarify concerns, and encourage compromise so all parties can reach a mutually acceptable agreement. We can assist in various conflicts, including family, workplace, business, community and legal disputes. We'll create a respectful, balanced environment where all parties can express concerns and cooperate to work towards a practical solution. Our goal is twofold: help broker a fair resolution tailored to your situation and keep you out of court. We strongly feel that inviting the government into your private life to make decisions for you should be a last resort.

Court Ordered Mediation
Court-ordered mediation helps resolve disputes efficiently, saving time, money, and reducing courtroom congestion. A hearing can only be set if mediation was not successful. Here are some examples of the types of mediation we can facilitate:
Family Law - In a divorce case, a judge orders mediation to help parents create a parenting plan for custody and visitation. If successful, the agreement can be submitted to the court for approval.
Small Claims - A tenant sues a landlord over a withheld security deposit. Before trial, the court orders mediation to encourage a resolution. The mediator helps both parties discuss the issue, leading to a compromise where the landlord agrees to return a portion of the deposit, avoiding a formal court judgment.
Civil Dispute - Two business partners disagree over contract terms and file a lawsuit. The judge mandates mediation to facilitate a settlement.
Workplace or Employment - An employee files a wrongful termination claim. The court orders mediation to explore a settlement. The mediator helps both parties reach an agreement where the employer provides severance pay, resolving the dispute without a trial.

Voluntary Mediation
Voluntary mediation helps resolve conflicts efficiently while preserving relationships and avoiding unnecessary legal costs. Here are some examples of the types of mediation we can facilitate:
Divorce and Custody - A divorcing couple wants to settle child custody and asset division amicably without going to court. They hire a mediator to help them negotiate parenting schedules and financial arrangements. By choosing mediation, they avoid costly litigation and maintain a cooperative co-parenting relationship.
Workplace Conflict - Two employees have an ongoing conflict affecting team productivity. Rather than escalating to HR or legal action, they voluntarily seek mediation. A workplace mediator helps them communicate openly, address misunderstandings, and develop solutions to work together more effectively.
Neighbor Dispute - Two neighbors argue over property boundaries and noise complaints. Instead of filing lawsuits, they voluntarily enter mediation. A mediator helps them establish clear boundaries and compromise on noise levels, fostering a peaceful
resolution without legal action.
Elder Care and Family - Siblings disagree on how to care for their aging parent, leading to family tension. They seek mediation to discuss caregiving responsibilities, financial contributions, and medical decisions. The mediator helps them create a fair plan that meets their parent’s needs while preserving family harmony.
Landlord Tenant - A tenant is struggling to pay rent due to financial hardship. Instead of pursuing eviction, the landlord agrees to mediation. The mediator helps them negotiate a temporary payment plan, avoiding court and allowing the tenant to stay in the home.
