If you Duck Duck Go the term "uncommon advocate," Second Heaven Strategies shows up at the top of the results. The only other result on the first page with that term is for an out-of-print biography on the life of Norman Birkett, published in 1963. That's incredible when you think about it. Apparently the service we're offering is, in fact, uncommon. But it shouldn't be.

If you don't have family that is able or willing to guide you, protect you and fight for you in all things great and small, we're inviting you to be grafted into ours. You see, my family is wonderful. Despite willfully making unwise decisions in my younger years and later as a single mom, my parents never left my side. Thanks to them, I never fell through the cracks. I recently told my mom again how much I appreciated them. She said, "Janie, we love you. That's what love is." Because this was modeled to me, I was able to stand in the gap for my own boys in the same way, even if their circumstance was the result of their own dumb decisions, too.

As your uncommon advocate Darryl and I will stand by you with loyalty, care, and dedication. Just as family would instruct, support and defend you, we'll ensure you're making informed decisions about financial and legal matters that may ultimately put you in a bind. We'll help you navigate difficult or scary circumstances involving work, school or home to make sure you're set up for success. We'll even attend appointments or meetings with you and speak on your behalf if you prefer. Our goal is to make sure you see the 360 degree view of your situation, understand your options, and ultimately help you make decisions that are in your best interest in both the short and long term. We charge a nominal hourly fee and if you truly can't afford it, you can barter or exchange services with us. But we don't work for free. We even offer a flat monthly rate for unlimited quick phone calls on any matter. Just like calling your parents for advice.
